Be Still, Have Faith, & Teach On!

This week was a little bit better.  The remodel projects are all going well.   Dad does great work. Everyone did need some space from each other this week.  So this week in summer school: Logan worked on his summer reading list.  He also did a few pages of his summer math.  He spent a day at the lake with his grandparents. Logan also spent a day with his Dad getting some check ups from various doctors. Savannah worked on a few pages of her summer math. She also took two online classes this week. She took a class on creative writing, and she took a class on first aide called Camp Save A Life. Lillian worked on her summer math and summer reading some this week also.  She also spent some time helping her dad with the remodel and she did some organizing in her new room. In which no school took place! This week did not go as planned, at all. The house is a disaster due to a house remodel we have going on. The yard is a disaster due to broken lawnmowers.  We had several places we had to go this week, and one vehicle is in the shop.  So, we just survived. I'll share a few pics from the week. I made pineapple zucchini this week. Lillian helped her Dad with the remodel.  The highlight of the week was definitely Savannah's Birthday Party Saturday. She is 13! Savannah's writing summer camp starts Monday! Hope it is a fun class for her.

This week was all about Kid's College for Lillian.  One of the local colleges offered an online week of activities for free this summer. This week was for Lillian's age group. Logan and Savannah worked on their summer reading list and math review.  They also worked on projects of interest to them individually.  We did a little bit of geography all together, and I still did our read aloud and Bible study. Lillian's Day 1 of Kid's College: Lillian's Day 2 of Kid's College: Lillian's Day 3 of Kid's College: Lillian's Day 4 of Kid's College: Logan spent the night with Papa and Meme one night. The girls and I made pickles. It was a busy, fun week. Dad has started the girls bedroom remodel this weekend. They can't wait to have their own rooms.

Well we slowly kicked off summer school this week.  We school year around, we like taking lots of little breaks better than one big break. Everyone is working through math review this week. The kids did some chemistry experiments, these will count towards Logan's high school labs. We took an online art class, the kids won the award and will receive a copy of the book that was used for the lesson. I signed everyone up for some online summer camps. I'm excited about this opportunity for them, I hope it works out ok. We all checked some books off of our summer reading lists. 😁 Savannah spent the day with Meme and did some sewing. She did a great job. I'm using these two books for devotions and read aloud. Online kids college starts next week...so hopefully it will be fun.

Life keeps slipping by. After we finished up school at the beginning of May, we have spent most of our time still in isolation due to Covid19. We have been enjoying a slower pace of life, but after 3 months of staying home we are all getting a bit antsy. I'll share some pics of some of the things we have been up too.  We are working through our summer reading lists, walking, biking, swimming, watching to much tv, playing to many video games, crafting, cooking, gardening, and just relaxing.
