Week 34-Homeschooling at the lake

We got home Saturday night, threw some laundry in the wash and crashed. Sunday morning we went to church, then that evening we were off again to the lake. We have been wanting to go camping for awhile, but the weather just has not been good.  We had a good weather outlook, the lake was still higher than normal due to all the rain we have had, but we took advantage of a good forecast and took the trip. In school this week we changed things up since we were not home.  The children took their language arts with them, so they continued on in those studies.  Here is a look at what we used for school books for their other subjects. Logan also did some Dutch oven cooking. He is such a good cook! The children went fishing, and cleaned their fish or helped.  They weighed their catch, then even took a look inside to see if we had male or female fish. It is time for the females to start laying eggs, so the females were full of yellow fish eggs. ...

Week 33- Spring Break

Spring is here!! I'm so thankful for spring. We took the entire week off from school and just did some fun things! Monday the girls went and stayed at some friends' house for awhile.  They went out to eat, played some games, and watched a movie.  Logan, Shane, and I went to Meme and Papa's to help plant some in the garden.  We got the trellis up on the sweat peas, planted potatoes, onions, and squash. Tuesday Lillian had a trip with our church.  They went out to eat, went bowling, and then to a park to play.  She had a blast!  Tuesday afternoon we had our monthly meeting with Logan's care coordinator. Wednesday we cleaned in the yard all day and burned limbs and such. We also spent a great deal of time searching for a tractor part and getting groceries. Thursday the kids had trap practice and then we had some friends over for a cookout. Friday we were out the door early for art classes.  Then we set out for northern...
