Summer Week 6- 4H

Image
We have been really busy this past week! Lots of great experiences! We stretched outside of our comfort zones this week and learned a lot! Monday the kids had a 4H meeting where they were supposed to go play Frisbee Golf and have a picnic, but I was not feeling well so we stayed home. I was bummed that they had to miss it, but sometimes those things happen.  Dad took Savannah to 4H practice Monday evening for district competition. Tuesday was District Competition Day. We got up early and took off to the school where it was to be held.  We have never been. There were way more people there than I imagined would be. Logan's area was crop and seed identification.  He placed 1st. Savannah's area was Fashion Review Dressy Constructed. She placed 2nd.  I am so proud of both of them! They both worked very hard on their projects! Wednesday Logan and Savannah got to go give a talk, along with others from one of their 4H groups, to our local Rotary chapter....

We also worked on some school work and 4H competition stuff. We did get out some.  We are up to the Civil War in American History, so we went to Reed's Battelfield and a museum of military history. We learned quite a bit about the Civil War in Arkansas. We also went to Pinnacle Mountain State Park. We went to the visitor center and museum.  We also hiked a trail.  They had several paved trails to choose from. I guess the thing that stuck out most to me about this trip was ...
