Week 21 Sabbath Week and lost days

Image
This has been a tough week. We have all been so very sick. But for recording purposes I will try to remember all I can. Saturday Papa came and picked up Logan for a surprise. Papa and Logan's long time violin teacher got together and refurbished Logan a beautiful violin. It sounds so wonderful and is so beautiful. Sunday was Christmas Eve. We woke up not feeling great, but ok. We went to church and participated in the candle light service. This is only the second time I have seen a candle light service, and I love it. Logan and Lillian also played Silent Night. After church we went to Meme and Papa's house for my birthday lunch. I love my parents so much. I have been very blessed in the parent department. I don't know what I would do without them. After my birthday celebration we went to the nursing home, the girls and I sang with our church group that was there, then we all visited with Nana for awhile. We then went back to my parents for our Christmas with...

Week 20

This was our last week of school in 2017.  This week also ended our 1st half of the school year.  This week did not go as planned, but we made it work. Monday Lillian and I were still sick.  So we took a sick day again.  We did go pick up some friends when they dropped their vehicle off to get worked on and took them back to their house.  We came home and crashed on the couch and had Magic School Bus School. Tuesday we were going to try and go down to school.  Lillian and I still felt bad, it was pouring down rain, and the suburban would not start.  So we didn't go.  We stayed in the house and had Home Ec Morning.  We made homemade apple butter.  It was so good ya'll!  I had never had any, we cer...

Week 19-swoosh

I think I heard a swoosh as this week flew past us!  I blinked and it was time to upload photos of the week and do our weekly update!  The days are speeding towards Christmas, and I am not finished with Christmas shopping, which I might add is so unlike me.  I am usually finished way before Thanksgiving.  Not this year! Monday was an Agri day again.  We went horse shopping in the morning.  We finally found what I think we have been looking for.  Penny is a retired roping horse.  She has had kids on and off her all her life.  She just stood there and let us all pet her and love on her.  She stood still to be saddled and bridled.  Only time will tell, but we have hope that she will be a good fit.  I will have to get rid of my mare, which makes me sad.  She just isn't a good fit to help train young riders, and she doesn't like to ride close to other horses, so it just was not working to teach new riders.  When we got P...
