Be Still, Have Faith, & Teach On!

Savannah got a new trap vest for highest score/most improved at our last tournament! We are officially finished with our school year!  Wednesday was our last day.  We are all so ready for a break and change of pace. In school this week: We just really had an easy week.  Everyone finished up on a few things in language and found a good stopping point for math.  We are taking at least one week completely off from any school work before starting our summer schedule. Savannah found a red toad in our yard. In other happenings: Sunday after church Lillian stayed for a going away party for a student from her class. Monday Music happened. Tuesday we had a meeting with Logan's case worker. It is so frustrating because everything has to be electronic these days.  We met at the library because she can never get her wifi to work at our house.  Well, it didn't work there either.  The kids checked out new books, and so did I.  I was excite...

Summer break is so close we can taste the watermelon and popsicles! We had a pretty relaxed week and finished up some things this week. In school this week: Savannah completed her language arts curriculum.  Logan is on his very last assignment, which is a book report.  Lillian is working on her summer language program, we are going slow. Everyone is still working on math PACE'S. We talked about a few things on our science calendar. The kids all worked on their rockets. Savannah is trying to get her ship finished also. In other activities: Sunday was Mother's Day, my family was so sweet to me! I'm very blessed to have such a wonderful family. We had Monday Music. I got to have lunch with a dear friend of mine! We planted some more plants in the garden, cherry tomatoes and sweet peppers. I had a doctor's appointment, Meme and Papa took the kids fishing. It was a crazy busy week! However we are just almost through with the school year! There's going to be lots of pictures this post! In school this week: Bible: We finished our study on The Content Heart.  Each child then picked out a personal devotional to work on for the rest of the school year and into the summer.  Here are their picks: Math: Everyone is continuing to work through their Math PACE's. Language Arts: Everyone has books from the library they are reading.  They also each did a couple of lessons in their curriculum. In other happenings: Sunday, Monday, and most of Tuesday we were still camping at the lake.  We did lots more fishing and playing games.  Meme and Papa came up and camped with us and gave everyone a fishing trip in the boat. Logan cooked for us. Lillian got to ride a motorcycle with a friend, which I think was the highlight of her trip. Logan also got a ticket from the game warden.
