Lillian-4th Grade

Image
Lillian my sweet, sweet beautiful baby, definitely isn't a baby anymore! She is so quickly growing up. Lillian is very much in the discovery stage. She loves to try new things and is trying so hard to find her place in this big world! If I could only use two words to describe Lillian they would be "joyfully adventurous." She brings so much joy and laughter into my life, our home, and to our family. She lives for a good adventure. She loves to explore and travel.  She would much rather be outside on an adventure than pretty much anything else. Well, except maybe hosting a party! She brightens up every room she walks in to.  I'm very blessed to call her my daughter, and I am so thankful that God gave her to me! Lillian will be in the 4th grade this year!  My biggest plans for her this year are to still encourage fun in learning.  I also want her to read, read, and read! Her reading skills really skyrocketed through the summer. Here are ...

Summer Week 9

I didn't keep day to day records this week, but here are the highlights. We had church on church days. 😊 We celebrated an Adoption of some friends of ours. They make such a lovely family, and we will continue to pray for their growth and bonding. Lillian did a couple of science experiments.  She made a tornado in a bottle and an ocean in a bottle. Dad had help from the kids this week with the barn. They finished enclosing it.  All they lack now is making the doors. Lillian, Buddy, and I went to the park one morning. We picked a theme for our homeschool year.  It is going to be "Having Fun in Arkansas."  We are planning to try and visit quite a few state parks that we have not visited before. We will also try to take in a few festivals, AGFC classes, or just look around at what we can find. We were in the hay field one afternoon. Lillian was a great helper. One of our cats had kittens. We have lots of deer coming to o...

Savannah-7th Grade

Image
Savannah will be starting the 7th grade soon! She will officially be entering what is considered Junior High School. I'm not sure I can adequately describe this wonderful woman child.  She is absolutely brilliant, stunningly beautiful, and has such a wonderful wit about her.  She is my go to girl.  I could not make it many days without her help. She does way more than her share, and rarely complains about the extra work.  I am super proud of her, and doubly blessed to be her mom. So, what's her plans for her first year of Junior High?  Here it is: English: She will be using "Rockets, Radar, and Robotics" from EIW to learn about all things techie and learn to write essays.  She will also use " Junior High Writing Prompts" from Sharon Watson to improve her style and writing voice. Math: She will be using Glencoe Pre-Algebra. Science: We will be doing Science together as a family. We will be using Creation Science from Christia...

Summer Week 8

Image
This week did not go as planned at all!  It ended up being a good week though. We had another baby this week. Sunday was church and eating at Grandparent's Monday the girls went and stayed at Meme and Papa's.  Shane had to go tie up some work stuff. I took Logan to Hot Springs for an appointment.  The appointment was pretty quick.  We then did some window shopping at all the pet stores, then we went out to eat at On the Boarder.  It was fun getting to hang out with my son! Monday night was music night. Tuesday was Papa's birthday.  We took dessert and went to have supper with him. It was a good evening. We also had some major flooding on Tuesday.  I've never seen flooding like this before! Wednesday our plans were cancelled because of the flooding.  The library had damage from flooding.  I also postponed our meeting with Logan's case worker.  We still had potluck and Bible study at church. Thursday we stay...
