Week 38

Another new flower! This week has been so busy! In school: Bible: We continued our Content Heart unit study. Science: We studied the plantae and animalia kingdoms.  We did some microscope labs and classification sorts.  This concluded our science for the year! Math: Everyone worked on their next PACE booklet. Language Arts: Logan and Savannah continued on in their books.  We did not get a chance to start Lillian's new curriculum, but she read every day. In other events: Sunday was Easter.  We do not do the Easter Bunny.  However we went to Easter service at church and had a wonderful lunch with Meme and Papa.  Then Logan hid eggs for the girls to find. Tuesday Logan had several appointments in Little Rock. Week 37

Can you spot the deer? The homeschool year is winding down!  We are finishing up curriculum, wrapping up projects, and starting to think about our summer plans. I really can't believe how fast the years are flying by. In school this week: Bible: In our content heart study we discussed being happy with our God given gifts and how we see our individual rights. We also read Easter stories and discussed Holy Week. The kid's Easter gift was azaeleas My Easter gift was Hydrangeas History: We watched Apollo 13. Such a good movie! Science: We covered the Protista and Fungi families.  We also recorded our findings in our bacteria experiment. Math: Everyone completed one PACE and took a test this week. Language Arts: Lillian has finished her curriculum for the year, she will be starting her summer language program next week to continue working on catching her up and overcoming her dyslexia. Week 36-Turtles, Clover, and things that go caput

Logan found a 4 leaf clover!! This has been a week of dropsies, tongue tiedness, and accidental messes! We also had three appliances go caput. However, we were still able to laugh it all off and get some much needed rest!  We were also very blessed to be able to replace the appliances. We had to stop and watch a snapping turtle cross the road. In school this week: Bible: We took a close look at world hunger, talked about the difference between happiness and joy, discussed a thankful heart, and we also did a lesson on being content with our appearance. Savannah in her 80's look😊 Science: We did a Vienn diagram on prokaryote and eurokote cells.  We studied archaebacteria and eubacteria. Lillian and I made agar plates one evening and then the next day everyone gathered some bacteria to see if we can grow some different types of bacteria.
