Summer Week 3
These first few weeks of summer have been so good for all of us. The children have gotten to explore their own interests. We have had a chance to work on things in and around the house that have needed some attention.
Savannah has been working more on different types of art. She has done several pencil portraits. She has also worked some with chalk. Her tadpoles she saved awhile back from the drying up puddle are starting to change into frogs.
Lillian has been working on creating sock dolls for some of her friends. She also showed Savannah how to make them.
Logan has been working with his plants a lot. He is learning different ways to propegate them. He divided up my African Violet to make several different plants. He also has helped his dad all week on our new chicken pen.
The girls and I had the chance to go to one of The University of Arkansas' research facilities this week with 4H. We got to see different ways they are growing fruit without pesticides. They also got to pick lots of blackberries and blueberries. Savannah picked up a kit to collect ticks with to help the University study ticks in Arkansas.
That was pretty much it for this week. Everyone is still enjoying playing board games. We are all enjoying a slower pace!
I am so thankful and blessed for this time I get to spend at home with my family.
