Summer Week 6- 4H
We have been really busy this past week! Lots of great experiences! We stretched outside of our comfort zones this week and learned a lot!
Monday the kids had a 4H meeting where they were supposed to go play Frisbee Golf and have a picnic, but I was not feeling well so we stayed home. I was bummed that they had to miss it, but sometimes those things happen. Dad took Savannah to 4H practice Monday evening for district competition.
Tuesday was District Competition Day. We got up early and took off to the school where it was to be held. We have never been. There were way more people there than I imagined would be. Logan's area was crop and seed identification. He placed 1st. Savannah's area was Fashion Review Dressy Constructed. She placed 2nd. I am so proud of both of them! They both worked very hard on their projects!
Wednesday Logan and Savannah got to go give a talk, along with others from one of their 4H groups, to our local Rotary chapter. They did an awesome job! Logan talked about STEM and showed some of his projects he has worked on this past year. Savannah talked about sewing and showed some of her sewing projects she has completed this year.
Thursday and Friday Savannah got to participate in a local 4H chef school. They cooked all kinds of delicious food, received gifts and door prizes, and had lots of fun.
Thursday was our Savannah's 11th birthday. We had a surprise party for her. I can't believe she is 11! I could not make it without this girl. She helps me all the time! I love her so much!
The next few weeks we should get to stay home more. I am looking forward to staying home!
Lillian and I watched this momma deer and her baby for awhile one day.
Our baby bunnies are growing so fast!
I hope you all had a blessed week.
