20/21 School Year - Week 11
We started on a new focus this week. We are concentrating on spiritual and physical wellbeing. We have spent a lot of time during our mornings focusing on learning to pray, learning to listen to God's word, and how to be physically fit as well. Physically we worked on stretching, strength, increasing heart rate, posture, and being mindful of needing to start each day with some sort of activity. It has really made a big difference to our school days. We are able to get more done, and still have energy in the evenings to enjoy some free time.
This week in school:
Home Ec: The kids are all still taking turns preparing meals. This has been a great experience for them, and a great break for me! Savannah and Lillian also worked on some DIY revamp projects. They did a great job! Logan helped with some staining on some boards for the girls room remodels.
History: We did not do any formal history this week. Lillian researched Teddy Roosevelt for one of her co-op classes. Logan and Lillian also learned about Ephesus and the Temple of Artemis in another co-op this week.
Language Arts: We did one Write Shop assignment. We are still working on being more descriptive in our writing. Everyone did their PACE booklets for English and Word Building. There was also plenty of reading going on.
In other happenings:
We had home church, visited with Meme and Papa, visited with our friends on zoom, horse riding, shooting, enjoyed each other. It was a blessed week.
