Week 39- It's May Y'all!

This school year has been full of accomplishments!  It has also been a year of changes, which has left a lot of decisions to be made for next year. We are officially finished with history and science.  The kids are still working on building their rockets, but that is it for history.  We will be using the monthly science calendar from The Homeschool Scientist. So our schedules have gone from detailed lesson plans to this:

We will continue to work on Bible (a few more lessons), math, and language arts.  However they are just continuing one lesson a day, so not much to record.  We have three weeks left of our official school year before summer break, but we will be much more relaxed in our schedules.  We have two more weeks of extracurricular activities, then we will just have some 4H activities sprinkled around.

I did not take great notes this week, but here's what I remember!

In school:

Bible: We did two lessons in A Content Heart.  We have two lessons left.

Language Arts and Math: Everyone just continued on.

Logan started and completed his reading fair board.

In extra curricular:

There was trap practice.

The kids swam in the pool.

I planted some tomato plants.

Church

The Reading Fair and Ice Cream Social

Then we took the camper to the lake for a vacation.  There has been some grumpiness, and tired people.  However it has been a good trip overall.  We plan on going home Monday evening or Tuesday morning.  We have fished, played games, watched wildlife, sat by the fire, and watched for the meteor shower.

I'm looking forward to a lot less things to do outside of our home! I'm ready to stay home and work on spring cleaning and the garden!
