Summer Week 5

We had a great week.  Our summer has been going so well. Here are the highlights from the week.

Sunday after church we helped Meme and Papa snap beans. The rest of the day was just rest and church.

Monday, Dad had a job interview and ran some errands in town.  The kids and I tried to get caught up on housework.

Tuesday, Dad and Savannah went to the eye doctor.  Then they went to Texarkana and bought us a new to us vehicle! We are loving it!

Wednesday was Savannah's birthday trip.  We went to Shreveport Louisiana and went to the aquarium and Sci-port museum. We had such a wonderful trip!

There was an outside part with native aquatic plants and animals.

This aquarium had so many hands on exhibits!  We got to touch and learn about animals that live in tide pools

We got to pet and feed the variety of rays. This was a favorite!

We got a natural manicure from the cleaner shrimp.

We got to touch jelly fish.

We also got to watch an octopus feeding.  This octopus was so funny! They are so smart and amazing!

We ate lunch in the Salt Cafe there at the aquarium.

The museum was tons of fun too. It is a complete hands on interactive museum.

Thursday was a home day.  I did run to the library to turn in some books and grab some snack food.

Friday the kids had friends over all day.  They swam, sang karaoke, played board games, and played video games.  They had a blast! We are so thankful for the blessing of good friends!

Saturday was youth game day at our church. They had a short devotional and played games. It was a blast! We are so thankful for Jon and Philip, for them to take time out of their lives to speak love and light into our kiddos.

Every spare moment of the week Dad and I (mostly Dad) have worked on a remodel of our bedroom.  It is looking so much nicer, I'm really liking the change.  It is just almost completely done, we are down to the finishing touches.

It was really a fun week!
