Week 28-A good stopping place
This week we were able to get back to normal and wrap up some loose ends. This next week will be our Sabbath Week off and we really needed to get some things finished so we can have a restful week.
Monday Dad was off and home with us. We used the day for an agri day. Logan's baby goats we're finally born. They are full blood Dwarf Nigerian Goats. Sky gave birth to twins, a boy and a girl. Logan named them Deborah and Barak from the Bible story. We are all so happy they were born healthy with no trouble! We moved the pens so they would have fresh clean ground to lay on. Then the kids had dentist appointments, which didn't go to well. Two kids had cavities and we found out our very loved dentist moved away. So we will be changing dentist to someone closer to home. After the dentist we went to music.
Tuesday was Dad's birthday, and since he was off on Monday we didn't have time to get anything ready. So we took another home ec day, it was a good thing to have one last home ec day on the last week of this segment of our school year. Lillian made cherry pie tarts. Logan made cookie brownies. Savannah went shopping for decorations and decorated the table.
Wednesday we had a full day of school. The baby goats are doing great. We got all our subjects in. We also read a new favorite fractured fairy tale, "The three wolves and the big bad pig." Logan had therapy. Wednesday night we had church.
Thursday we had a busy day. We got finished with our last section of Math and each kid took their test. We also finished up each section in our other subjects. Lillian finished her Science completely, so I'll be looking for her some other things to do. Thursday afternoon we went to an awards ceremony for archery. Logan won third place on his team, and Savannah won first place on her team. After the ceremony we had archery practice. The girls shot some hoops while they waited for practice to start.
Friday morning we got up and went to therapy. Then we went to our last art class for the month. I didn't get any pictures of their drawings, but they each did a pencil drawing of a dog. After art class we hit some thrift stores, I needed to buy some toys for my classroom at church. The girls hit the jack pot on some build a bear clothing and came home and dressed their bears up.
Saturday we went to Little Rock to see my dad at one of his knife shows. He won some awards, I'm so happy for him! Beside the show room there was a Chinese Garden, Lillian loves anything to do with China so we had to get some pictures!
Today is Sunday, we went to church. We ate lunch with meme and Papa. We worked cows. Then we came home to start getting ready for Sabbath Week. It is so refreshing to know this is Sabbath week. We all feel better already!
Hope you all have a great week!
