Week 30-a bust, but not really

Well this week did not go as planned. I know some weeks are that way, but it is really discouraging sometimes. Traditional school just did not happen much this week, but what we did do was really exciting.
.
In school this week:
Bible: We watched one episode of The Gospels from Drive Thru History.
History: We started our study on the Cold War.
Science: We started our new science. I chose something I already had. We will be doing Kingdoms and Classifications from The Good and the Beautiful. We will be using this until the end of the school year. It looks like it is really going to be a good fit for us. It goes a little deeper on several topics we have already covered.
Language Arts: The girls started on some new cursive penmanship pages, and we all just did one lesson in our individual curriculums.
STEM: Lillian created a structure out of toothpicks and dots this week.
In other happenings this week (other than lots of rain):
Over the weekend the boys had a fun trip to the movies and out to eat. The girls and I had a stay home movie date, we watched The Greatest Showman and played in all the water from the rain when it stopped for a short time. I had heard and read mixed reviews on The Greatest Showman, but we loved it!
Monday night was music night. Logan, Lillian, and I went to music. Dad and Savannah went to the store and worked on her model of the Cutty Sark.

Tuesday morning the girls had dentist appointments. Savannah had a very small cavity filled, it went well. Lillian had to have some pretty intensive work done on her teeth, due to a vitamin deficiency that I had while I carried her. She did awesome, and her teeth look great. However, school was just not possible the rest of the day.
Wednesday we all went to Little Rock. Logan had an appointment with his new prothesis and orthodics guys. The appointment went well. They were all very nice, we are going to wait and see how they do once we receive all his new equipment to determine if we want to stay with them or go back to our previous supplier. We barely got home and it was time for Logan and Savannah to go to trap practice. Then there was church potluck and bible study.
Thursday the kids and I were pretty spent. We worked mainly on getting the house put back together and getting some laundry done. We then prepared for Friday!!
Friday was the long awaited arrival of art co-op. We were up early and out the door. We had such a wonderful time. The kids enjoyed seeing their friends and they enjoyed all their classes. Lillian is studying Homer in one class and in the other class she is doing trash to treasure. Savannah is taking a class on stained glass and her second class is cartooning comes to life. Logan is taking a class on pointillism and then a class on fonts and style. I am helping in a class too which is different from all theirs. I also got to enjoy a mothers hour where I spent some time with the other moms. It was very nice. After classes, Dad met us and took Logan and Lillian to a comic book store they have been wanting to go to. Savannah and I came home to feed the baby goat.
So, even though this was not the week I had planned out on my planner, we got some things accomplished that needed done. We also had a lot of fun going to co-op. I am trying to remember:
"That every little thing you do matters: what you did yesterday, what you do today, and what you do tomorrow. God made your life so important that every move you make, every action you take, matters...and not only for you or the people around you. Everything you do matters for everyone and for all time." Andy Andrews
God bless!
