Week 31

Co-op Season has begun! It was an extremely busy, but fulfilling week.

In school this week:


We went to two co-op events:


The library hosted a STEM co-op for homeschoolers. We got to make elephant toothpaste and fluffy slime. We had a great time. The library is so much better than ours!


Another day we started our Spring Homeschool Co-op.  Each child participated in two classes.  Logan took Make Me Laugh, a class on puns, and Smart Phone picture editing. Savannah took Mad Libs, a class on parts of speech, and King of Random, a craft class. Lillian took Storybook Drama, which is acting out stories, and Random Recreation, a crafting class. These classes will last the next four Fridays. Everyone had a great time. While they are in classes, I am teaching another class and participating in Mom's Hour.


Logan:
Music: he went to music class, he studied rythmn and percussion, and Viking music
Thinking:chess class
Computer: social media and email
Bible: Exodus
History: Mongols and Islam
Biology: scientific method
Literature: worked on paper and vocabulary words
Math: combining like terms


Savannah:
Art: Chinese flowers
Computer: using inkscape
Language Arts: writing dialog and wrote a piece on becoming president
Bible: Matthew
History: Chinese history, great wall and map
Biology: heart
Health: fire safety
Math: PACE booklet work


Lillian:
Language Arts: quality adjectives, igh and alk words, compound words, reading comprehension
Math: two digit multiplication, began division
Science: scientific method, types of science


Read Aloud: We are continuing our new read aloud. We are learning a little early American home life.


PE/Therapy: We participated in our Church's Walk, Run, and Roll at the park.


In other events:


The kids all had a dentist appointment.

We had church.

The boys had Men's Breakfast and devotion at church.

We had a Local Mission meeting.

Trap practice happened several times this week.
