Week 38

It's getting harder and harder to keep everyone focused on school these days.

School time is mostly review this time of year. I told the kids we have to keep working until we finish week 40. So, they are counting the days.

This is what we did get done this week in school:

Read Aloud: We are still reading about famous men from the middle ages.

Math: Everyone completed three days of math lessons.

Language Arts: Everyone completed three days of English lessons.

History: We are learning about the Renaissance. We learned about Italy, city-states, new inventions, architecture and explorers.

Science: Our science is garden science this time of year. We have been planting, weeding, and watching our garden grow.  We will do a Mel chemistry kit next week though.

Agri: Logan has been working with his dad earning his Agri credit. He worked on electricity this week.

In other happenings this week:

Sunday we had video church and then we went on a drive. We just went down roads we have never traveled before. We found this neat historical marker literally out in the middle of nowhere!

We went fishing one day with meme and papa. We didn't catch a thing, but we had a good time.  Lillian got in some bird watching.

We also finished the new pen for our cow and mama goats this week. Also, we installed new doors on the house. They look awesome, they make the whole house look better.

The weather has been absolutely perfect this week. The temperature is perfect, sunshine, slight breeze, really could not have been better. We did have one pretty bad storm late one evening. Savannah took this really cool picture the following day.
