Week 11

We had another busy week of learning this week.

Monday we some friends stay with us all day because their public school was closed.  We played at the house for awhile, then we loaded the picnic basket and headed to the park to play and have a picnic.  We then went and spent some time at our public library.

Monday afternoon Daddy took Lillian hunting and Logan, Savannah, and I stayed home and just chilled.
Tuesday we had a full day of school.  We got in every subject!  We had art today and they each worked on their own personal projects.

Tuesday Lillian had a science project.  She made an aquifer to show how groundwater is held underneath the topsoil. Savannah is still not loving Math this year, and she is a gifted Math student, so we have to figure out what to do next.  Lillian is doing really well with her Dyslexia therapy, she is making good progress.

Wednesday we had a field trip to a Pumpkin Patch with our homeschool group. Some friends rode with us, that always makes the trips so much more fun! At the pumpkin patch we went through a corn maze, had a hay ride, played through a kids adventure area, went into the pumpkin patch, and visited with some animals.  They also had pumpkin checkers, yard dominoes, and other outdoor games.  I did not get many pictures, my phone died.

Thursday was another full day of school.  Once again we got all our subjects in!
Thursday afternoon Logan went on his first trip without any of us.  He had a great time.  He went to the "Rise out of the Dark" concert that was held nearby.  He loves music and had an awesome time.  We are so thankful for this group of young people he has to hang out with. While he was gone we came back home and Daddy and I both had tutoring students.  After we finished tutoring we went out to eat at McAlister's and then went and hung out at Books A Million.  The girls had money they wanted to spend.  We also went and picked up some groceries.  We picked up Logan and got home around midnight!!

Friday morning we slept in!  When we got up we shared with each other our great buys of the night before and then went down to school.  We worked on reading, science, and history.  We then did our nature study for the week.  Our study was on trees, last year we did an intensive study on trees and forests of the world.  For their nature study they each drew a picture of what their favorite forest would look like.

Friday evening the kids and I went over to a friends house and visited for awhile and watched a movie and had pizza.  We had fun!

Today is Saturday and we spent the day buying groceries, catching up on chores, and just resting and doing independent activities.

I hope you all had a good week.
