Week 15

Sunday was church day.  Logan also had a youth cookout with his after school youth group.

Monday we ended up watching another child so we did not have our usual Monday morning Home Economics time.  We just went straight down and got started on school.  We had a busy day of learning!  We started by reading one of our favorite Thanksgiving picture books.  Then we took some time to each write a list of things we are thankful for. Logan assembled pangaea in science.  Monday evening the kids had music.

Tuesday morning we had our home economics time.  Logan cleaned and organized his room and then he practiced on his instruments.  The girls and I sewed all morning.  We made more pot holders and then I worked on a gift. After lunch, Logan went hunting with his Papa and the girls went to school and worked on their history lapbooks, we can't seem to keep them caught up!  Tuesday afternoon I had tutoring.

Wednesday morning we went to run some errands with Papa.  When we got home we had a quick bite to eat and went to school.  We worked on our main subjects. We had a neat visitor in our classroom.  It was a moth of some kind, its wings looked like leaves and we all thought it's body was shaped like an air force plane of some type. During Lillian's free time she built a lego car. Then we went to kid's club and youth.  Then we headed to a birthday party and then church.

Thursday we got a full day of school in.  We worked through all of our subjects then we worked on some Thanksgiving crafts.  After school we went to a 4H meeting.  It was a food explorers meeting, so the kids learned about preparing food and they made some really neat holiday treats and appetizers.  I didn't get a picture of Savannah with any of her creations, she was so excited and had so much fun..she didn't stay still long enough for a photo. I also didn't get a picture of all the food they made, another Mom and I washed and cleaned up behind them so we wouldn't all have so much clean up when the meeting was over.

Friday we woke up to baby bunnies with their eyes open!  They are so cute! Now they are starting to move around a lot.  They are really sweet to watch.  Their parents are registered, so now we need to decide if we want to register the babies or not.  It is kinda expensive to register them and get the equipment to do their ear tattoos. So we need to decide if we think it is worth it or not. We had one other agri science project for the morning, the dear ladies who held the 4H meeting let us keep our avocado seeds and taught us how to start a plant from them.  So we got that set up, its a little late in the year to try and start a plant, but we are going to try it.  After the excitement in the Agri department of our homeschool, we went down to our classroom and worked on our core subjects.  Then we came up and had lunch and headed out the door for an art class.  Our wonderful art teacher provided everything we needed and the children learned how to do wood burnings.  We were supposed to have the class at the park, but the wind really got up, so another dear mom friend let us host it at her house.  The children each did one wood burning and one stamp and bead project.  They all turned out really neat.  After class we headed home for awhile to wait on dad.  When he got home we went to the lake to meet up with some friends.  The kids played uno and jenga while the parents visited, then we all cooked hot dogs and smores.  It was a fun day!

Lillian was so very sick all through the night Friday night.  So Saturday morning we had shopping to do and a 4H meeting to attend.  I gave Dad the list and he took the older two to town to pick up animal feed for the month, attend the 4H Sharp Shooters meeting, go pick up medicine for Lillian and pick up our groceries.  Lillian was feeling better this morning, but I didn't want to take a chance on her making someone else sick.  I'm glad we stayed home, and thankful for dad helping out with the animal feed and grocery shopping. I started feeling bad about an hour after they left.  Hopefully we will both be feeling better soon!

I hope you all had a great week and found many things to be thankful for!

God Bless!
