Week 16-Thanksgiving Break
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!
We took the entire week off from book learning. However, we still had multiple learning opportunities.
Monday and Tuesday our 4H group took a camping trip to the nearby Blackland Prairie WMA. We got to take a wagon tour of the prairie, try our hand at Dutch oven cooking, build survival walking sticks, make our own star chart, go on a night hike, a sunrise hike, go geocaching, participate in 3D archery, go trap shooting. We had an awesome time. The kids also watched the snake feeding, and got to pet an oppossum.
Wednesday we were supposed to go to Little Rock. However, we changed our mind and rescheduled the appointment. We spent the day unpacking and I found the kids asleep periodically throughout the day. We were all so tired from our trip!
Thursday we spent Thanksgiving with my parents and helped them with a project they have going.
Friday we had a work day at home. The girls and I cleaned house and rearranged some furniture to get ready for our Advent Season and the Christmas Tree. Dad and Logan worked in the shop putting cabinet doors on.
Saturday was a work day at the farm. We worked cows and then Dad and Papa worked on installing new air conditioners in some of the work buildings. While the boys worked on the air conditioners, the girls and I came home and worked in our garden. We pulled out the last of our produce for the year and started the clean up process. Saturday had perfect weather and we stayed outside as much as possible.
Hope you all have a blessed upcoming week!
