Summer Week 6

I'm not believing we are already in week 6 of our summer break! We have really tried to slow down and just enjoy being a family and spending time together and with friends. Here is what happened this week.

Sunday was a normal Sunday. We went to church and had lunch with Grandparents.

Monday we went to Texarkana. We had to run a couple of errands. We also took the time to see the $1 movie at the theatre. I can't remember when we laughed so hard at a movie! We watched Small Foot. It was well worth the dollar!

Tuesday we just hung out at home.

Wednesday morning the girls had friends over. They watched movies and played and chatted. Wednesday evening we had church potluck and Bible study.

Thursday we went to the cabin for our 4th of July celebration. We grilled hotdogs, had homemade ice cream, shot trap, practiced with our rifles, played catch, and had fireworks. I'm scattering the photos throughout the post since they are the only pics from this week.

Friday was another stay home day.

Saturday we had a sweet sweet family from church over.  They have girls in the same class as Lillian. We had such a blessed time visiting with this family!

Lillian found a pecan on the ground this week. It was pretty small, it's not time for them to be falling, so I hope it just got knocked down by an animal.

We have also been taking care of a neighbor's dogs all week, well mostly Dad has been taking care of the dogs.

Dad and I worked on planning our next 4H meeting and sending out notifications.

On the homeschool front...I finally sat down this week and planned out Logan's 9th grade year using the information he has given me on what he wants to focus on. I still can't believe he is going to be in high school!

I also found and signed up for an online class on scholarship opportunities for homeschool kids.

It was a great week.  Next week we are supposed to be having sort of a heat wave through our area.  We will be working on some summer school items and swimming a bunch!
