Week 33-Project Week
We had another week of non traditional school. We all worked on projects all week, and had some great eye witness learning experiences.
Sunday night Lillian sang a special at church. If I teach my children nothing except to work for the Lord, I will consider it a great success.
Monday we officially added PE time back into our daily schedule. We did chair boxing, and my arms were sore the rest of the week! Afterwards, everyone worked on reading their biography they chose for their projects. We had home ec time, Savannah made a delicious carmel apple pie. Logan learned how to fly his new drone. In the afternoon we went horse back riding and to music.
Tuesday, dad officially finished building our raised bed vegetable garden! Savannah made some more glycerin soaps. Everyone worked on their biographies some more. Then we started working on our garden. It is the girl's history project, they were to make a garden like Josephina's. We are all helping in it though. Hopefully we will be able to grow lots of veggies!
Wednesday, the girls did PE together. They did a workout video called Faithful workout. It's one of their favorites. Logan went with Dad today to run errands. He learned about taxes, banking, paying bills, insurance, and all that grown up yucky stuff! The girls and I had a picnic lunch outside, the weather was perfect! Us girls also worked more in the raised beds. We then took a break and did a coloring page together.
Thursday we finished what we could on the raised beds. Now all we have to do is wait one week before planting, so history project completed! We then headed down to school to finish up our other projects. Logan finished his science poster on Arkansas snakes. Each child finished their book projects. Lillian picked us a beautiful bunch of flowers for the classroom. Logan downloaded the videos and pictures from his drone and had a blast watching them! Logan then spent more time flying his drone. Lillian's lop bunny had babies today, but they are not doing great.
Friday we were suppose to start with a PE video, but I completely forgot. Oops😊 We then had to run some errands, my grandmother told me the baby bunnies might not be doing good because the momna bunny isn't getting enough nutrition from her food. So, we went and bought another type of food, some oatmeal, and a mineral block. Hopefully that will help. I had to turn in papers for a new walker request for Logan, hopefully it will get approved. We then had art class, the project was beautiful, but the kids had a hard time staying focused today. Then it was off to therapy for Logan and to pick up his new bow for archery.
Next week it's back to book learning! We have had a great two weeks of what I call real life learning, but it's time to finish up these books for the year. Hope everyone had a great week!
