Week 10- When Mom is Sick
It was a rough week. My husband and children are wonderful blessings. I'm very thankful for them all! I was so sick most of the week. It started last Friday and lasted until this Thursday. I think it was a reaction to my flu shot. I had quit taking them several years back because they make me so sick, but last year we all had the flu, so I toughed it out... barely!
This week in school:
Bible: We finished our section in Proverbs People on the diligent man and started the section on the wicked man. Children see things so much clearer than adults do sometimes I believe.
Science:. We painted a representation of plant cells. We also started our Botony folders. This week the focus has been on plant parts.
Math: Lillian had a test in Saxon Math and completed two lessons. Logan and Savannah each completed three lessons.
History: Logan completed two lessons in his history. He also sat in with the girls in history. We are learning a song in Hebrew. We also have been learning how the Jewish people celebrate the Sabbath. We also started talking about WWI.
Language Arts:. Logan is almost finished with his Language Arts book. So I am looking for what he is going to be doing next. The girls each just continued on in their lessons.
STEM: Friday was our class at Grandview. We learned about waterfoul and talked a bit on conservation. Each family then got to construct a wood duck house for conservation and to provide safe habitat for the year around duck.
Other happenings this week:
Monday- Lillian had Taekwondo and Logan had music. Dad pulled double duty because I was so sick.
Wednesday- I had a meeting with Logan's case manager about insurance. Lillian went to Kids Club.
Saturday: Dad took Logan and Lillian hunting and Savannah stayed with me and made a pear pie.
I am glad I am finally feeling better. The weather has been a bit rainy, but wonderful temperatures! I'm glad we can now get outside and enjoy God's creation!
