20/21 School Year - Week 3

We were able to accomplish a lot this week.

Sunday we had home church and rested most of the day.

Monday School:

Together we read Matthew Chapter 1 and did our trivia bible study. We also got some socializing in with our friends on zoom. 😉

Logan turned in his report on the Louisiana Purchase.  He learned the definition of a line in Geometry and did the corresponding problems. He also brushed up on his paragraph writing in English.

Savannah turned in her report on The Alamo. She did the introduction and lesson 1 in Spanish. She also learned about exponential notation on Math.

Lillian turned in her report on Thomas Jefferson. (We are so glad he was a foody and brought so many yummy foods to America!) She worked on her dictionary skills in English.

Monday afternoon Logan had a teen council meeting, dad took him.  The girls and I worked on cleaning up our camper and getting it ready for our camping season.

Tuesday School:

Together we read Matthew Chapter 2, did our Trivia Bible study, and we watched "The Blue and The Gray" to learn more about The Civil War.  We are ready to move into the 1900's now. We also did a descriptive paragraph in Write Shop.

Logan worked on adverbs and adjectives in English. He did his personal Bible study.  He also did some reading.

Savannah did her personal Bible study.  She made homemade lip scrub and face scrub in home ec.  She learned about radicals in Algebra 1.

Lillian did her personal Bible study. She continued her refresher on dictionary skills. She started her project on Harriett Tubman.

Tuesday evening we bathed all the dogs and moved Shifu indoors.  We are hoping he will learn to be a good house dog so our chickens can run out of their own during the day.

Wednesday School:

Together we read Matthew Chapter 3.  We did our trivia bible study. Everyone did their personal Bible studies.

Logan learned about radius, diameter, and compasses in Geometry.

Savannah did a math check up in Algebra 1.

Lillian worked on adding and subtracting numbers in the 1,000's.

Wednesday evening the kids had Collide Church on Zoom.

Thursday School:

Together we read Matthew Chapter 4.  We also took school pictures.  We made glow in the dark slime in Chemistry.

Here are my favorite pics:

Logan continued to learn about compasses.

Savannah continued to learn about radicals

Lillian continued adding and subtracting in the 1,000's.

Thursday evening we didn't do much of anything.

Friday:

Logan and Dad had doctor appointments.  Our town was out of power for awhile so it was complicated getting medicine filled.

Savannah worked on learning how to substitute ingredients on recipes in Home Ec. She made some wonderful brownies. This is the last one, I almost didn't get a picture before they were all gone!

Lillian completed her project on Harriett Tubman and then played.

Friday evening everyone watched movies.

Saturday:

I ran errands most of the day. Then spent time putting up groceries and arranging the pantry.

Dad and the children worked on rocket building.

I have not slept well in several days.  I'm so hoping tonight I'll sleep better!
