Official back to school 2020/2021

We are getting a slow start, but we are getting back into the swing of school all day.

We started the week with home church. Then we went on a Sunday drive.  We ended up at a new to us location on a nearby lake. It was beautiful.

We had a 4 day school week.

Logan did two presentations this week, one on the stars and constellations, the other on Henry Hudson.  He also completed his summer math, worked on a writing assignment, and did some Bible studies. Logan also took an online class called Strokes of Genius, where he learned some art history.

Savannah did two presentations this week, one on wind and the other on electricity.  She also completed her summer math, worked on a writing assignment, and did some Bible studies.

Lillian also did two presentations this week, hers were on Amelia Earhart and Martin Luther King Jr. She did some math, writing, and Bible studies.

We watched NASA launch the rocket to Mars with the Perseverance.  We watched Hidden Figures to go along with our space and equal rights talks this week.

We also finished our World Geography course from our summer studies.

Other happenings this week:

Monday we got to visit with friends on zoom. This has been so fun!

Thursday night I had a meeting.

Friday Logan got his braces taken off his teeth. We are so glad this is wrapping up!!

We ended the week today with a birthday party for our dogs. Buddy and Patriot turned 3, Shifu turned 1. Lillian did a great job planning the party and making the dog cakes.

Have a great day!
